An Ohio casserole staple--ground beef, tomato sauce, sour cream, noodles and cheese. Classic comfort food!

- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 23 ounces tomato sauce
- 12 ounces medium noodles
- 6 green onions
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a 9"x13" baking dish.
In a large skillet, brown ground beef. Add garlic, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powders, basil, oregano, sugar and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes
Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a small bowl, combine cream cheese and sour cream until well blended. Stir in sliced green onions.
In baking dish, layer noodles, cream cheese, sauce and cheddar, ending with cheddar on top.
Bake for 30 minutes.
