Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
In attempting to copy a bakery cookie, I came up with this version that I may like even better. Soft, gooey and chocolatey. My favorite kind of cookie!
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk gently. Set aside
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined.
- Add dry ingredients to wet, and blend until combined. Stir in chocolate chips
- Refrigerate dough for 15 minutes.
- Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or just until cookies are set. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet before moving to a wire rack to cool completely. Store cookies in an airtight container when cool.
