Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

In attempting to copy a bakery cookie, I came up with this version that I may like even better. Soft, gooey and chocolatey. My favorite kind of cookie!

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened to room temperature

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk gently. Set aside
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined.
  • Add dry ingredients to wet, and blend until combined. Stir in chocolate chips
  • Refrigerate dough for 15 minutes.
  • Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
