Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
In attempting to copy a bakery cookie, I came up with this version that I may like even better. Soft, gooey and chocolatey. My favorite kind of cookie!
Prep Time 25 minutes mins
Cook Time 9 minutes mins
- 2 cups flour
- 2/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup butter, softened to room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a medium bowl, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Whisk gently. Set aside
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until well combined.
Add dry ingredients to wet, and blend until combined. Stir in chocolate chips
Refrigerate dough for 15 minutes.
Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes, or just until cookies are set. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet before moving to a wire rack to cool completely. Store cookies in an airtight container when cool.
