Maple Glazed Salmon

One of my favorite ways to prepare salmon–broiled with a great maple glaze.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/4 pound salmon fillet
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Place the salmon in a glass baking dish. Top with garlic, ginger and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, combine syrup and soy sauce. Pour over salmon.
  • Marinate salmon for a minimum of 30 minutes, turning salmon once while marinating.
  • When ready to cook, flip salmon (skin side down). Broil for 15 minutes. Check salmon periodically while cooking to baste with sauce and to watch that it doesn't burn.
  • Top of salmon should be darkened with cooked and will flake easily,
